About Us
Who We Are
Teens Reaching Teens, Inc. (TRT) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth through literacy, creativity, and mentorship.
Founded in North Texas, TRT began as a teen-to-teen platform for self-expression through Teen Graffiti magazine—a safe space where young people could share stories, poetry, and opinions about real-life issues.
Today, that same spirit of expression lives on through new programs that help children and teens discover their voices, strengthen their confidence, and dream beyond their circumstances.
Our Evolution
Over two decades, Teens Reaching Teens has grown from a print publication into a literacy and community-building movement. In partnership with Lil’ Marco and Friends, LLC, we now deliver diverse books, literacy kits, and reading programs that celebrate representation and belonging. Together, we’re closing the literacy gap and ensuring every child can say, “I see myself in this story.”

Community Partnerships – Collaborating with universities, sports teams, and local organizations—such as SMU Cox School of Business and the Dallas Mavericks—to expand access to literacy resources.
