Keepin’ It Real! Youth Empowerment Summit

Teens Reaching Teens, Inc.’s “Keepin’ It Real! Youth Empowerment Summit” is a one day youth conference that provides our teens with “real life” solutions to problems they face and in the process help build their self-confidence as they prepare to return to school. During the day, each student will participate in s series of mini-workshops on topics affecting our youth today. During the summit, each participant will have the opportunity to ask questions and get answers during a moderated panel discussion. Teens Reaching Teens, Inc. also provides great food, great entertainment, backpacks and school supplies and loads of information, advice and resources from local merchants and community organizations and did we mention FUN!

 

Teen Graffiti Educational Scholarship
graduation capThis scholarship is based on individual, group and corporate contributions for the purpose of encouraging youth to strive for academic excellence beyond high school.

 

 

 

 

Putting It On Paper (PIOP)
piop-smallThis program is designed for students ages 13-18 who have difficulty expressing themselves in writing, who have an interest in writing, desire a career in the literary world, wish to explore writing as a possible interest or simply want to hone their writing skills for school. The students receive exposure to the various forms of writing (essay, speech, fiction, nonfiction, journalistic and creative writing), individual feedback on their work and have an opportunity to reinforce the learning in a fun, creative, and relaxing way. Students benefit from one-on-one mentorship with adult writing professionals allowing them to enhance their journalist and writing skills for school and future employment. Upon completion of the seminar, students will be able to reinforce their newly learned writing skills by applying them to school, employment and their everyday lives.
